Win a Shed Competition Winner Announced

Written on the 7th of October 2011 by Stacy Weber

Wide Span Sheds today announced the winner of the “Win a Shed” competition.

The national supplier of premium quality steel buildings asked contestants to pick their favourite shed and explain in 25-words or less why they wanted to win that particular steel building.

Wide Span Sheds national sales and marketing manager, James Folwell, said the competition was a huge success and was a great way for the company to connect with their core clientele.

“We had thousands of entries from all over Australia, with customers eager to win a Wide Span Shed.

“This competition gave us a great opportunity to really connect with our customers, especially on social utilities such as Facebook and Twitter – these platforms really gave us an insight into what our customers are looking for, and what they think of our business.

“In the end, we selected 250 finalists based on their 25 words and then the final winner was picked randomly,” he said.

The individual winner, Carly Cummings from QLD, was awarded a $5,000 credit voucher to spend on a Wide Span Shed of her choice.

Ms Cummings is a hard working mother of 4 and high school teacher. Carly has identical girl twins aged 7 years and two boys aged 10 and 14.

“I couldn’t believe it. I saw the promotion on Facebook, and I was a little sceptical – but my friend entered so I thought it would be ok … I have never won anything in the past. This is really fantastic. I am absolutely ecstatic.”

Ms Cummings said she was really impressed with the large range that Wide Span Sheds has to offer, and would take her time in choosing the perfect steel building for her home.

When asked what she would use her new building for, she replied: “It will be my retreat! My mental space and adults only room”.

Mr Folwell wishes Carly Cummings and her family all the best and said that the major prize couldn’t have gone to a more deserving winner.

The steel building company also awarded a contestant a $100 Coles Myer voucher for the effort put in to their entry.

Mr Folwell said the success of this campaign has opened doors for future Wide Span Sheds competitions in the future, and for customers to stay tuned.
