With every valid entry a winner, the Show Us Your Shed promotion is your opportunity to show Australia your genuine Wide Span Sheds steel building and receive a $50 dollar Bunnings voucher. If your photo is used, we'll promote it for the world to see on our website and in our future catalogues and other marketing collateral.
Make your photo count; take note of the following tips:
Get up close
As long as the entire shed is in view, get in as close as you can! No use photographing your pride and joy from your neighbour's paddock!
Timing is everything
Forget high noon - the best time to get a great photo of your shed is early in the morning or late in the afternoon. That way you can look forward to rich colour instead of bleached out and glary not-so-happy snaps.
Composition
You love your shed, but unless you consider its best angles, other's may not be as impressed. Show off your shed in it's best light by using good self-explanatory photography principles including "The Rule Of Thirds" (low or high horizon - NOT Centre!) and "Leading Lines". Clean away any bits and pieces that might detract from your photo.
Steady On
Hold the camera steady using both hands, resting your elbows on your chest or some other support. It may look crystal clear in the view finder, but often photos can be blurry at full-size so a tripod or support can make a big difference to your final product.
Terms and Conditions
The Show Us Your Shed promotion is free to enter and open to all customers who have purchased a steel building from Steelx Pty Ltd trading as Wide Span Sheds.
All eligible entrants must upload their entry digitally via the Wide Span Sheds website.
To be eligible for a voucher, uploaded images must fall within the following guidelines:
- Be selected for use by Wide Span Sheds in printed and online marketing collateral.
- At least one of your photos must show your home, shed or building in its entirety.
- Supplementary images (up to four more) may contain close-up photos.
- All images must be colour photographs in JPEG format.
- Photos must be high quality, i.e. of large proportions and resolution.
- Images of low quality or/or under 72dpi are ineligible for a voucher.
- Images under 640 x 480 pixels are ineligible for a voucher.
One voucher is available per Wide Span Sheds customer job number. One entry may comprise up to five uploaded images.
By entering, you grant Wide Span Sheds permission to use your submission in present and future product catalogues and advertising.
The entrant certifies that they are the copyright owner of the image submitted and indemnifies Steelx for any claim made against it for infringement of copyright of the image.
The entrant grants Steelx a perpetual non-exclusive licence to use the image submitted as an entry for any purpose, including but not limited to promotional purposes, or in any format. This does not in any way affect the entrant's copyright in his/her own image.
Entrants will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions upon uploading their submission.
Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
Steelx decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding competition decision.
