Council Approval Information

When making additions to your property, it is important that you contact your local council to enquire about the relevant council approval that may be required, and to ensure you meet the correct design criteria for your specific area. It is important to note that not all structures will necessarily need council approval. It is in your best interest to check with your local authorities ensuring you don't waste time, resources or funds.

Visit a Building Certifier

From experience, we have found that the best way for you to obtain council approval is to take your Wide Span Sheds quote to a local building consultant or certifier who will be able to discuss with you your building requirements.

Not only will a certifier save you precious time but they will be able to look at the building you're planning to purchase and the area you plan to build on, and from this tell you of issues (if any) that may arise.

Unfortunately, you are not able to use your Wide Span Sheds quote to get council approval, but a good building certifier will definitely be able to tell you what modifications you may need to make should you need to apply for one.

A Wide Span Sheds Quote includes:

  • Design Criteria
  • Use of Building
  • Colours
  • Buildings Specifications
