The Studio Shed kit includes the steel frame, bracketry, bolts, screws, and sheeting. However, you will need to source the doors, windows, flooring, and internal linings in order to bring your shed to life.  

At Wide Span Sheds, we understand how critical premium quality steel is to the integrity of your structure. For this very reason, we guarantee that your steel kit building will include structural components manufactured entirely from premium, hi-tensile 450MPa or greater, BlueScope Steel. The structural components of the Studio Shed are made from Galvaspan® Steel by BlueScope. Galvaspan® is recognised globally for its quality and durable zinc coatings.

Wide Span Sheds is proudly an accredited ShedSafe supplier, meaning our engineering and designs have been reviewed and approved to meet the Australian building standards. All our sheds undergo site specific engineering to ensure the safety of your structure.  

For those looking for an alternative to a slab floor, our raised flooring system provides a solid platform for your fit-out. Instead of a traditional slab, the shed is elevated on steel bearers and joists (supported by concrete piers) allowing the flooring system to sit 600mm above ground level giving you the freedom to install your flooring of choice. Concrete, floorboards, and associated fixings not included.

The Studio Shed is best suited to someone confident with tools and prior construction experience. If you're not confident in this area, we recommend engaging a qualified builder or handyman to assemble it for you.

If you’re assembling the shed yourself, you’ll need the following tools: 

• Spirit level, measuring tape, clamps, metal snips 
• Concrete hammer drill, impact driver, rivet gun 
• Safety gear (gloves, glasses, etc.)

It’s important to note that some cutting and drilling will be required.

If you’re building the 9.8m ²  Studio Shed in New South Wales or Queensland, this shed has been designed to meet the requirements of each state’s self-assessable building guidelines, and may not require council approval.

The 20m ² Studio Shed has been designed to meet the requirements of NSW's self-assessable building guidelines, and may not require council approval.

However, requirements can vary, so no matter where you’re located, always check with your local authority to confirm what approvals may be needed in your area.
