Extra information
Fraser and Tracey Paterson's harrowing experience during the 2019 New Year's Eve fire in Malua Bay left them with a destroyed property but an unyielding spirit. Despite the devastation, they remained committed to rebuilding their lives in the area they cherished. When it came to replacing their shed, they turned to Wide Span Sheds for a solution that not only looked good but also offered resilience against future threats.
Their collaboration with Wide Span Sheds resulted in a meticulously designed shed that met their aesthetic and structural requirements. Fraser and Tracey's resilience and determination to rebuild serve as a testament to the strength of communities affected by bushfires. As they continue to rebuild and move forward, their story serves as an inspiration to others facing similar challenges.
The Patterson's: Stand up to the heat
"It was dark, it was really dark. We couldn't see any flames because of the amount of smoke that was coming at us."
The words coming from Malua Bay local Fraser Paterson are measured and calm. But the tale he is retelling of his experience of the 2019 New Year’s Eve fire was anything but calm.
“It was scary,” adds Tracey, Fraser’s wife, with a more emotional tone. “But we didn’t have time to think. We just had to act.”
