Not all steel is created equal and it is important to understand the difference between Australian steel and imported steel.
Australian steel such as BlueScope and Colorbond has been tested in our harsh conditions for generations with products undergoing intense laboratory and field tests to protect against extreme temperatures, corrosion, hail and wind.
Imported steel on the other hand is a gamble, with the risk of corrosion, colour fading and warping. Be careful of suppliers who use imported steel to make and assemble their sheds in Australia, and then say these structures are “Australian made”. It’s easy to check – just ask where their steel comes from.
