Get your shed together | start planning now for your 2024 shed!

The lead into Christmas sees a lot of people focusing on others, why not take a moment to consider what you might need? If you're thinking of a new shed in the new year, now is the ideal time to start planning and "get your shed together". In this quick guide, we will walk you through the key steps to ensure a successful shed project for 2024.

Step 1: I would like a shed

Start by noting down the answers to some key questions, e.g. How will you use the shed? When do you need it by? Where exactly will your shed be located? What accessories will you need?

Step 2: Do I need council approval?

Consult with your local council or certifier to understand the zoning regulations and building codes for your area. Ensure your shed plans align with these regulations to avoid complications later on. Determine what processes and applications you will need to submit.

Step 3: Request a quote

A quote will be the foundation of your plan, providing a clear understanding of the potential costs involved.

Wide Span Sheds have a 24-hour quote turnaround. As our sheds are made to order, we can design it to reflect your unique requirements and style at no extra cost. We will also provide you with access to a 3D view of your shed design.

Step 4: Place an order

Place an order by reviewing and confirming your site-specific quote. Pay the required deposit and return necessary documents to officially kickstart your project.

Experience peace of mind with site-specific engineering from Wide Span Sheds. Our expert team will design your shed to withstand the unique demands of your location, ensuring durability and safety.

During the order process you will obtain detailed shed plans, including dimensions and structural details. Wide Span Sheds can generally provide this within 48 hours.

Submit these plans to your local council for approval.

Step 5: Who is going to build it?

While waiting for council approval, plan the actual construction and prepare your site for the build.

Decide on whether you'll tackle the construction yourself or hire professionals based on your skills, time, and budget constraints.

Step 6: Shed delivery

Production is typically between 5-8 weeks depending on the depot. Please add an additional two weeks if ordering throughout the Christmas & New Year period.
