Ordering Your Shed: From Quote to Delivery

31/03/26

You need a shed designed for your needs and your specific site!

There are usually two key questions our customers ask:

1. What is the process? (What do I do, and what does Wide Span Sheds do for me?)

2. How long does it take?

At Wide Span Sheds, we focus on providing high-quality engineering and transparency on how the process works. We provide shed kits; the timeline is focused on precision manufacturing and reliable delivery. Here is a breakdown of the answers you need to get your project moving. See our made to order page.

Step 1: Request Your Free Quote

Timeline: 2 business days or less

Submit your details online. We will put together your free quote based on what you need for your site. The team will call you if they require additional information to create your quote.

Step 2: Design the Shed and Getting it Right

Timeline: from 1 day to when the design is right!

Our team is super responsive, and with over 50 years combined experience, they know what it takes to work through the details of good shed design.

This might happen in one phone call or a dozen. As you come to better understand what you need and want out of the shed, the team will work with you to get it right.

During the quoting stage, many clients will seek design consent from local certifiers or council authorities to answer the important question, “What can I build on my block?

Step 3: Initial Deposit and Council Plans.

Once you have signed the purchase agreement and paid a 15% deposit, we will provide the engineering plans you need for council submission.

For building with standard engineering, council plans and documentation are provided within five working days.

Should anything unexpected arise in the council processes, the Wide Span Sheds Customer Service Team will work with you to address questions around design and any changes that might be required.

Note: Deposits are not refundable.

Step 4: Documentation and Manufacturing (45%)

Timeline: Manufacturing will take 6-8 weeks.

When you are ready to go; you receive any required council approval, and have a plan for construction,  a further 45% payment is required to begin manufacturing your kit. We also provide construction plans and manuals at this stage.

A delivery or pick-up date will be scheduled once orders have been placed and confirmed with our suppliers.

Step 4: Final Payment and Delivery (40%)

Timeline: Delivery date is confirmed upon final payment.

The remaining 40% balance is due 10 days before the confirmed date. Delivery timing varies by location.

How Much is Delivery with Wide Span Sheds?

While the delivery is taken care of by your building manufacturer, we have implemented a variety of checks and balances throughout the supply chain to ensure your delivery stage is seamless.
