A skillion roof shed is a practical and functional structure for any rural property. Bringing with it the same general design possibilities as our gable roof sheds, the single or mono pitch roof of a skillion delivers strong and clean aesthetics.
On an open front shed with side-by-side bays, many clients choose to feature the highest point at the bay openings. Alternatively, you can opt for the skillion roof to slope from one side of the building to the other. This delivers an aesthetic to the structure that is quite modern, as you can see the sloping roof line from the front of the shed. You can also choose the slope to suit where your water tank needs to be positioned.
As with all of our sheds, you also can adjust the height, span and length. With a skillion roof, the maximum span capability is 12 metres. The pitch of the mono pitch on your shed can be either 6 or 12 degrees, allowing either a slight or more steep angle to your roof.
Whilst many clients choose ZINCALUME® steel as their preferred cladding, you have the range of COLORBOND® steel at your fingertips as well. The various cladding profiles are also available.
Shed layouts can also combine both open and enclosed bays. This permits a multi-purpose shed that really delivers value and function for your business and property. Steel sliding doors and industrial strength rollers can also be added, to provide adequate access. Dividing walls and mezzanine flooring can also be added.
If you need additional covered area beyond the bays, you can add lean-tos off either the low or high sides. These can be open or enclosed, depending on what drive in access you require and what you plan on storing. This design parameter enables us to create barns with a skillion roof on the centre bay.
