Council Approvals & Building Permits

There are eleven areas of local government in the Hunter Valley Region, and they all work together to ensure this beautiful community is well maintained. Should you wish to erect a steel building on your property, then you will need to get in contact with your relevant council to see what is required of you to legally start work on your steel building.

In most cases, you will need to apply for a building permit, followed by regular inspections until your building is complete and has been signed off by a registered surveyor. For more information about the local governments in the Hunter Region, please visit www.huntercouncils.com.au.
